Bishop McAllister College at Kyogyera

Bishop McAllister College principal Rev. Paul Jeffries.
BMCK, as it is known, was intended to be a school for tertiary studies in the 1990’s. Due to lack of funding and the need for high level secondary schools in the Bushenyi District, however, it was transformed into a co-ed boarding school for Senior 1 through Senior 6 levels (7th to 12th grades).
BMCK is located on a main, paved road 15 minutes from the town of Bushenyi.
The Principal is the Rev. Paul Jeffries, a Canadian Anglican priest. The Deputy Principal is Caleb Matsiko, a Ugandan.
In 2008, the school had an enrollment of 620 students; BARHD sponsored 69 of these students.
The school and staff are highly regarded in the area and have the reputation of providing a quality education at reasonable fees---$365 includes tuition, room & board, books, and a school uniform.
Upgrading of facilities includes a modern girls’ dormitoryand science lab (2006), a computer lab and a new kitchen (2007), housing & examination room for a nurse, and a dining hall (2008).
Help us ensure a brighter future for these children.
Students of Bishop McAllister participate in a track meet, one of the school's many extracurricular programs.
BARHD sponsors provide hope and opportunity for 230 Uganda orphans. By giving them the opportunity to continue their education, you give these orphans the chance to make better lives for themselves.
$365 BARHD scholarships support one orphan for an entire year:
- Room and board

For a dollar per day, you could change an orphan's life forever.
